About The Role

Join our team as an Electrical Engineer II, where you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and testing of flight engine electronics and instrumentation. You will be responsible for creating circuit boards, writing software for engine controllers, and collaborating with various engineering teams to deliver flight-ready hardware.   • Act as the Responsible Engineer for the flight engine electronics and instrumentation, overseeing the design, build, and testing of circuit boards and software for engine control.
  • Procure, calibrate, install, and troubleshoot engine instrumentation, ensuring the proper functioning of wiring harnesses and avionics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute test programs, analyze experimental data, and apply findings to optimize designs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience with electronics design, development, fabrication, assembly, or test
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willing to make mistakes, take responsibilities, work independently and be transparent about your work
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Prior experience designing the flight engine electronics or other rocket systems
  • Coding (MATLAB, C++, javascript, C, Arduino)
  • Hands-on engineering (Full-stack: computer to wrench to broom)
  • Experience designing electronics and circuit boards
  • CAD (NX preferred)
  • Experience in a start-up or rapid development environment
  • Familiarity with aerospace safety and reliability practices
