About The Role

Join CesiumAstro, a leading company in the aerospace industry, as an Embedded Software Engineer II. In this role, you will contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from product concept through production, and work closely with hardware, systems, and FPGA engineers. You will develop and port embedded Linux applications, configure and customize the Linux kernel, maintain the Yocto-based Linux build system, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure seamless system integration and performance.

Développer et porter des applications Linux embarquées, des pilotes de périphériques et des bibliothèques, configurer, personnaliser et intégrer le noyau Linux et les chargeurs de démarrage embarqués.
Maintenir et faire évoluer le système de construction Linux basé sur Yocto dans le cadre d'un pipeline CI/CD, emballer et déployer des images logicielles pour diverses plateformes matérielles embarquées.
Proficiency in C or C++ for embedded systems
Familiarity with version control, issue tracking, and peer review workflows
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience developing and debugging software on embedded hardware (e.g., power systems, motors, sensors)
2+ years of professional experience in embedded software development
Understanding of multi-threaded programming and resource-constrained environments
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices in embedded environments
Proficiency with bootloaders, kernel development, and system bring-up
Experience with Xilinx SoCs or other microcontroller-based systems
Practical experience with Embedded Linux and the Yocto Project
