About The Role

Join CesiumAstro, a leading-edge satellite manufacturing company, as a Manufacturing Test Engineer II. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, implementing, and executing engineering test plans and procedures. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to address company-wide hardware test needs, manage lab and equipment, and guide key equipment purchase decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong combination of hardware and software knowledge, experience in a production environment, and excellent communication skills.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to lead and develop test requirements, mapping requirements to reusable test architectures and procedures.
  • Implement test plans and procedures, and log and present results to key stakeholders.
  • Manage lab and equipment, guide key equipment purchase decisions, and evaluate non-conformances to determine root cause.

  • The ideal candidate possesses a strong combination of hardware and software knowledge with proficiencies in test equipment, test architectures, and automation
  • Engineers on this team must have working knowledge of overall schematics, operations, manufacturing, testing
  • Demonstrated engineering intuition, critical thinking, and comfort with ambiguity
  • A Bachelor of Science (BS) with 2+ years of experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Programming or scripting experience (Python or C#)
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of test systems
  • Experience in a production environment
  • Test architecture design and development including scripting, test executives, hardware, and measurement abstraction layers
  • Experience writing test plans, procedures and providing go/no-go judgment and rationale
  • Applied experience in test optimization for manufacturing environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Programming or scripting experience (MATLAB, C/C++, etc.)
  • Proficiency with statistics and metrology
  • Understanding of RF and mixed-signal hardware (e.g. amplifiers, filters, ADCs/DACs, antennas)
