About The Role

Join CesiumAstro, a pioneering company in the development of communication systems for satellites, UAVs, and other space and airborne platforms. As a Technical Product Manager, you will lead the development and evolution of our software-defined radio (SDR) and space communications development kits. You will be responsible for delivering a seamless and powerful developer experience, collaborating with various engineering teams, and driving improvements in usability, tooling, and automation.

  • Own the end-to-end developer experience for software-defined radio (SDR) and space communications development kits, ensuring a seamless and powerful experience.
  • Define and maintain board support packages (BSPs) for customer firmware development, and architect and manage source code distribution strategy.
  • Collaborate with hardware, FPGA, embedded, and applications engineering teams to ensure cohesive platform delivery, and gather customer feedback to drive product improvements.

  • Strong experience with board support packages (BSPs), embedded Linux, or RTOS environments
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and familiarity with firmware development workflows
  • Experience with version control systems (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and source code release management
  • Strong understanding of hardware/software interfaces in FPGA or SDR systems
  • 5+ years of experience in embedded systems or FPGA-based platforms
  • Ability to think from the customer’s perspective and design intuitive engineering workflows
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • Knowledge of export control and secure code distribution practices
  • Experience supporting external engineering teams or customers
  • Familiarity with Yocto, Buildroot, or similar embedded Linux build systems
  • Proven track record designing SDKs or developer platforms
  • Direct experience with SDR, RF systems, or space communications hardware
  • Experience writing technical documentation for external customers
