Senior Legal Counsel (Product and Regulatory)

• Support KOHO’s product development and regulatory strategy, providing practical legal advice that enables innovation while protecting customers.
• Partner across KOHO Tech and KOHO Bank to provide practical regulatory advice that enables growth while protecting customers.
• Play a key role in helping KOHO set up and operationalize a regulated bank, including supporting engagement with regulators.
• This role is ideal for a lawyer who enjoys building new things, solving complex regulatory questions, and working closely with business teams in a fast-moving environment
• Strong judgment and the ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice
• 6+ years post-call experience as a lawyer practicing in Canada (in-house and/or at a law firm)
• Experience advising on financial services regulation, banking law, or consumer protection frameworks
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, CX, Risk, and Compliance teams
• Builder mentality with a bias toward action in fast-moving environments
