General Ledger Accountant (6 month Fixed-Term Contract)

As a General Ledger Accountant on a 6-month fixed-term contract, you will play a key role in delivering a Group restructuring accounting project, supporting statutory audits, and implementing FRS 102 revenue and lease projects. You will prepare and review trial balances, complete balance sheet reconciliations, post journals, and prepare audit-ready documentation. • Deliver a Group restructuring accounting project, supporting FY25 statutory audits and FRS 102 revenue and lease implementation projects.
• Prepare, review, and validate trial balances, complete balance sheet reconciliations and schedules, and post journals and technical accounting adjustments.
• Support transition accounting and close-out of project workstreams, and ensure clean handover of residual activities at contract end.
• Newly qualified accountant(ACA / ACCA or equivalent), ideally from practice
• Strong audit / statutory reporting background and grounding in FRS 102
• Strong Excel; interest in Power BI, automation or AI tools an advantage
• Transaction or technical accounting exposure a plus
• Detail-oriented self-starter, comfortable working at pace
