Applied AI Software Engineer

Join Norm Ai as an Applied AI Software Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in enhancing our AI-driven compliance solutions. You will collaborate with various teams, design and build enterprise-grade software, and contribute high-quality code to our production codebase. You will also run experiments with new LLM techniques, develop regulatory expertise, and prioritize development velocity and long-term robustness.

• Willingness to work with frontend technologies (Typescript, react, etc) when required
• Strong programming skills in Python, proficiency in Docker and data storage technologies such as Postgres and Redis
• Experience in AI/ML infrastructure and tooling
• Interest in becoming a regulatory domain expert and working closely with legal and regulatory professionals
• 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, ML engineer, or Data Scientist
• Strong reading, writing, and quantitative skills, as well as a data-driven approach to problem solving
• Familiarity with and an eagerness to apply the latest AI research
• Experience applying traditional ML systems and processes in the context of state-of-the-art LLMs
• Experience with context engineering and memory in the context of AI agents
• Experience modeling uncertainty in ML systems
• Experience deriving insights from PDFs and other unstructured or semi-structured data types
