Legal Counsel

Join Jagex, one of gaming's most enduring studios, as a Legal Counsel. In this varied role, you will have real ownership and impact, working closely with teams across the business on commercial initiatives, player-facing projects, regulatory matters, and the legal frameworks that support our games, partnerships, and operations. You will be part of a close-knit in-house team where your advice will directly support decision-making across commercial, corporate, regulatory, and operational matters. • Proven experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, including partnerships, licensing, and technology contracts
• Experienced solicitor, with demonstrable experience across corporate governance and commercial legal work
• Awareness of the legal, commercial, and regulatory issues affecting the video games industry, with in-house experience in gaming, technology, entertainment, or another dynamic consumer-facing sector preferred but not essential
• Working knowledge of UK and EU GDPR requirements, with awareness of equivalent data protection regulations in other jurisdictions
• Clear understanding of intellectual property rights, including their exploitation, protection, and use within licensing or similar commercial arrangements
• Experience managing, advising on, or administering management or employee incentive schemes, including relevant approvals and stakeholder coordination
• Demonstrable experience handling corporate governance requirements for a large UK company, including filings, statutory records, approvals, minutes, resolutions, and supporting documentation
• Qualified solicitor in England and Wales, with a qualifying law degree or equivalent legal qualification
