Lead Perception Engineer

As a Lead Perception Engineer, you will work on cutting-edge autonomous robots and engineer complex systems at the intersection of hardware, software, robotics, and AI. Your responsibilities will include building perception algorithms, adapting existing algorithms for Teleo's operational domain, developing auto-annotation tools, defining evaluation protocols, and integrating with MLOps for continuous deployment. You should have at least 3 years of experience in applied ML with large-scale datasets, experience shipping perception or ML systems into production, and a strong background in Python and PyTorch.

• Concevoir et développer des algorithmes de perception pour fusionner plusieurs modalités de capteurs.
• Adapter et étendre les algorithmes de perception existants pour les appliquer au domaine opérationnel de Teleo.
• Développer des outils d'auto-annotation et d'auto-labellisation en utilisant des méthodes de pointe.
• 3+ years in applied ML with large-scale datasets
• Experience shipping perception or ML systems into production
• Systems thinker: understands data, models, infra as one system
• Strong Python + PyTorch
• M.S. or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
• Strong Experience With
• Auto-annotation techniques like VLM-based labeling
• Model evaluation beyond single metrics (failure modes, edge cases)
• Multi-modal data (camera, LiDAR, radar)
• Perception tasks: detection, segmentation, depth, tracking
• Experience with synthetic data or simulation
• Dataset management & slicing
• Large-scale data pipelines (Parquet, Arrow, object storage)
