Senior Technical Accountant

Join our finance organization as a Senior Technical Accountant, where you will lead technical accounting research, financial reporting, and the development of accounting policies to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP. You will evaluate complex transactions, provide clear accounting guidance, and collaborate with various stakeholders to support strategic decision-making. This position is based in our Irvine office on a hybrid basis and offers a range of benefits, including a 401(k) with a 4% match, medical, dental, and vision coverage, and a flexible PTO plan.

• Perform technical accounting research and analysis on complex transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 805, and ASC 810.
• Develop, document, and maintain the Company’s accounting policies, ensuring consistency and alignment with authoritative guidance and industry practices.
• Collaborate closely with Legal, FP&A, Corporate Development, Operations, and other stakeholders to evaluate business transactions and provide accounting guidance early in the process.

• Experience preparing technical accounting memorandums and supporting audit reviews
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, particularly ASC 606 and ASC 842; working knowledge of ASC 805 and ASC 810
• 3–5+ years of experience in technical accounting, audit, or accounting policy
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
• High attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and commitment to quality
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex guidance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
