Software Engineer (AI Document Generation)

As a Software Engineer on the DocGen team, you will design and build the backend systems that power our document generation platform. You will have the opportunity to influence architecture, shape technical direction, and partner closely with Product, Design, and Applied AI teams. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy building scalable backend systems and want the autonomy to take ideas from concept to production.

• Design, build, and maintain backend services powering EvenUp’s document generation platform.
• Own projects from technical design through production launch and ongoing iteration, driving architectural decisions.
• Partner closely with Product, Design, and Applied AI teams to deliver customer-facing features and improve performance.
• Experience owning projects end-to-end in fast-paced, high-growth or startup environments
• Bonus: Experience with AI-powered applications, legal tech, document generation systems or social impact–driven products
• Proven ability to design and ship scalable, production-grade systems, including APIs and distributed systems
• Strong software development experience, with hands-on expertise in Python or languages such as Go, Java, Node.js, or C++
