Full Stack Software Engineer

Join Clever as a Full Stack Software Engineer and play a crucial role in shaping the future of the Real Estate industry. You will work closely with our team to develop and maintain efficient and scalable backend systems, ensuring the robustness and performance of our platform. You will collaborate with project managers, designers, and fellow engineers throughout the product life cycle, and actively contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

• Plan, develop, maintain, and refactor front and backend systems using Ruby on Rails with Hotwire/Turbo/Stimulus.
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and fellow engineers throughout the product life cycle to ensure the robustness and performance of the platform.
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the team through participation in forums like architecture reviews and guilds.
• 5+ years of software development experience
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Strong understanding of REST
• Strong understanding of CSS
• Proficient with database modeling and querying
• 5+ years of backend engineering experience with a focus on modern frameworks and scalable architecture
• Proficient with design patterns and when to use or not use them
• Strong understanding of Behavior-Driven (BDD)
• Ability to break down complex problems and collaborate with others on tradeoffs and alternatives
• Proficiency in Python and/or Ruby
• Strong programming skills in Ruby on Rails, Hotwire, Turbo, and Stimulus
• Experience with other MVC frameworks like Django
• Experience with TailwindCSS or other similar CSS frameworks
• Experience with NextJS, Gatsby, iOS, and/or Android
• Experience with automated visual testing tools like Selenium or AI-driven testing services
• Experience with AWS, Heroku, or Vercel
• Experience with Microservices or “Miniliths.”
