Senior Machine Learning Manager (Borrowing)

Join Monzo, one of Europe's most ambitious fintechs, as a Senior Machine Learning Manager in the Borrowing division. You will lead a high-caliber team of ML scientists and define the ML roadmap for UK growth, new customer segments, and EU expansion. This role combines near-term commercial impact with long-term strategic advantage, and you will partner closely with leaders across various departments.

• Lead a high-calibre team of ML scientists to define and execute Borrowing's ML roadmap across UK growth, new customer segments, and EU expansion.
• Drive improvements in underwriting models across Loans, Flex, and Overdrafts, and expand the data used in models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to influence decisions that shape business performance and the long-term architecture of credit decisioning at Monzo.
• You enjoy combining strategic leadership with strong technical judgment

• Deep experience in credit risk and lending
• Strong knowledge of machine learning, statistics, and decisioning systems
• Experience with advanced ML methods and AI on structured financial data

• Experience leading and developing senior ML scientists
