Senior Software Engineer (Web)

Join Cboe Europe as a Senior Software Engineer, Web. In this role, you will design, implement, extend, and maintain web software functionality, often requiring advanced knowledge and experience. You will also help with production operations, participate in team sprint planning, and mentor other software engineers. The position offers a flexible and hybrid work environment, with regular work from our offices in London and Amsterdam.

• Design, implement, extend, and maintain web software functionality, often requiring advanced knowledge and experience.
• Implement automated unit tests and rigorously test changes to systems and platform functionality prior to deployment.
• Participate in requirements gathering and analysis. Write documentation, technical specifications, and requirement materials for our data and applications.
• Experience with Linux or UNIX-like systems
• Experience with Python or experience in another language with a strong desire to learn Python
• Familiarity with modern web standards, including HTML5 and CSS3
• Minimum 5 years of experience developing high-performance, data-driven websites
• Experience with Python unit testing and full-stack web testing is a plus
• <B.Sc> Computer Science (preferred), <B.Sc> Computer/Software Engineering, or demonstrable equivalent knowledge
• Experience with Apache, PostgreSQL, or ReactJS is a plus
• Experience with MVC web frameworks (Django preferred)
• Experience with JavaScript
