• Facilitate the best solution design by understanding the business area and collaborating with team members and product owners.
• Identify technical impediments and work directly to resolve them, while being technology agnostic and adapting your approach in pursuit of the best solution.
• Mentor and coach others, sharing knowledge for the benefit of the team, and contribute to the technical development of colleagues.
• The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in database platform engineering and a passion for technology. Commitment to delivering high-quality, scalable solutions is a must
• You will have worked hands-on with MS SQL and PostgreSQL database technologies and bring your expertise to our specialist team
• Problem solving and communication skills
• Supporting, managing and designing enterprise systems, including HA/DR solutions
• PL/pgSQL
• Microsoft SQL Server (AAG, SSIS, SSAS, SSIS)
• Industry based best practice
• Designing or contributing to solutions for a Private Cloud Environment

• Agile ways of working
• Service design and associated methodologies
• Backup / Restore and Disaster recovery processes
• Security best practises and compliance standards
• Mentoring Colleagues and supporting technical development of others
• Technical fault-finding Level 3 & 4
• Powershell
• PostgreSQL (including HA)
• Performance Optimisation
• Expertise in a private cloud environment specialising in one or more of the following technologies:
• Ansible
• Backstage / Harness / IDP
• Github Enterprise
• MongoDB
