Senior Software Engineer (Web/Mobile)

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Customer Retention team, you will lead the technical design and implementation of scalable front-end experiences across web and mobile. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and influence the direction of our platform. • Lead the technical design and implementation of scalable, high-performance front-end experiences across web and mobile (React, React Native).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive front-end architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and influence the direction of the platform.
• Participate in product discovery sessions to assess feasibility, explore user needs, define product features, and validate ideas with prototypes and experiments.
• 3+ years of experience building React Native applications for both iOS and Android, including app store release processes
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within and across teams
• Experience with Node.js for server-side rendering or BFF (backend-for-frontend) patterns
• Experience with front-end state management (e.g. Redux or Context API)
• Experience deploying and hosting front-end applications, including CI/CD pipelines and CDN/edge delivery
• Experience with agile software development and delivery methodology
• 5+ years as a software engineer, shipping production code
• Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
• Working knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and building inclusive user experiences
• Experience building customer retention, lifecycle, or engagement features (e.g. subscription management, personalization, win-back/reactivation flows, membership benefits)
• Capable of prioritizing multiple projects in order to meet goals without management oversight
• E-commerce experience
• Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (React, React Native, NextJS, GraphQL)
• Experience with front-end testing frameworks (e.g. Jest, React Testing Library) and mobile E2E testing tools (e.g. Detox, Appium)
• Native Android development experience (Kotlin), in addition to React Native
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically
