Staff Engineer (AI-Assisted Engineering Practices)

Join our team as a Staff Engineer focused on AI-Assisted Engineering Practices. In this role, you will design, prototype, and apply AI-assisted development techniques to enhance engineering productivity. You will work closely with product and platform teams to integrate these approaches into real-world systems and help scale the most impactful ones. This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy experimenting with new tools, solving practical engineering challenges, and mentoring peers in applying AI to everyday development.

• Design, prototype, and apply AI-assisted development techniques to enhance engineering productivity.
• Collaborate with product and platform teams to integrate AI-driven workflows into existing systems and processes.
• Mentor and influence engineers on the effective and responsible use of AI in day-to-day development, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Strong hands-on coding skills and experience delivering production systems across complex codebases
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills — you elevate others through partnership and shared learning
• Backend or fullstack expertise in one or more of the following: backend technologies (Node.js, Kotlin, Java, Python, Go), frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, Next.js), or mobile (React Native, Swift, Kotlin/Android)
• Automated test authoring and analysis
• Demonstrated success using AI tools to improve engineering productivity, such as:
• Proven ability to set and elevate standards for system design, code quality, and operational excellence
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including technical leadership across squads or groups
• Experience with CI/CD workflows, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes), and developer platform tooling
• Workflow orchestration with frameworks like LangChain, MCP, or similar pipelines
• Intelligent refactoring or code quality tooling
• AI-assisted code generation or review
• Love experimenting with AI tools and applying them to real engineering challenges
• Are curious, pragmatic, and impact-driven — you measure success by how much faster and better your teammates can build
• Enjoy translating early prototypes into production-ready, maintainable systems
• Lead through action and example — you demonstrate new practices by building them
