About The Role
Join FIGS, a rapidly growing medical apparel company, as the Senior Manager of Technical Design. In this role, you will lead a team of technical designers, establish fit and quality standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. You will also build and maintain tech pack data integrity, prioritize daily workload, and lead fit sessions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in technical design, excellent communication skills, and a passion for garment construction and fit.
- Lead a team of technical designers to execute premium medical apparel from concept through pre-production stage, ensuring high-quality fit and construction.
- Establish fit and quality standards for measurement specs, grading, construction details, and on-body standards, and partner with cross-functional teams to drive innovation development.
- Build and maintain tech pack data integrity, including bill of materials, specs, construction, sketches, etc., to communicate requirements for design aesthetic, fit, and construction to vendor partners.

- Proven work ethic, positive attitude, and integrity
- Requires strong organization, time management, and follow up skills
- Self-motivated, strong sense of urgency, collaborative mindset
- Associates or bachelor’s degree within Fashion Design or Technical Design
- Prior experience leading and mentoring teams
- Excellent communication skills - interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation
- Exceptional knowledge of garment construction, balance and fit, patternmaking, and technical drawing
- Excellent eye for fit, construction, and detail
- Experience and passion in 2D and 3D patternmaking software - Gerber PDS/Optitex and Clo/Browzwear
- Travel experience and able to travel 2X a year
- Experience with PLM (Centric preferred)
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Excel, and Google Suite
- 10+ Years working as a proven leader within technical design
