About The Role

Join FIGS, a rapidly growing medical apparel company, as the Senior Manager of Technical Design. In this role, you will lead a team of technical designers, establish fit and quality standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. You will also build and maintain tech pack data integrity, prioritize daily workload, and lead fit sessions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in technical design, excellent communication skills, and a passion for garment construction and fit.

Lead a team of technical designers to execute premium medical apparel from concept through pre-production stage, ensuring high-quality fit and construction.
Establish fit and quality standards for measurement specs, grading, construction details, and on-body standards, and partner with cross-functional teams to drive innovation development.
Build and maintain tech pack data integrity, including bill of materials, specs, construction, sketches, etc., to communicate requirements for design aesthetic, fit, and construction to vendor partners.

Proven work ethic, positive attitude, and integrity
Requires strong organization, time management, and follow up skills
Self-motivated, strong sense of urgency, collaborative mindset
Associates or bachelor’s degree within Fashion Design or Technical Design
Prior experience leading and mentoring teams
Excellent communication skills - interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation
Exceptional knowledge of garment construction, balance and fit, patternmaking, and technical drawing
Excellent eye for fit, construction, and detail
Experience and passion in 2D and 3D patternmaking software - Gerber PDS/Optitex and Clo/Browzwear
Travel experience and able to travel 2X a year
Experience with PLM (Centric preferred)
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Excel, and Google Suite
10+ Years working as a proven leader within technical design
