About The Role

Join our Accounting & Finance team as the Manager of Technical Accounting & Reporting. In this high-impact role, you will shape our accounting framework, drive compliance excellence, and influence how the company communicates its financial story to investors and stakeholders. You will partner with executive leadership, lead accounting policy evolution, drive technical excellence, ensure compliance excellence, craft financial narratives, become the technical authority, accelerate close cycles, and solve novel problems. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of technical accounting depth and operational know-how, with a preference for experience in the technology/SaaS industry and capital markets.

  • Leading the evolution of accounting policies, ensuring compliance with new accounting standards, and aligning policies with the business model.
  • Partnering with executive leadership to translate complex accounting challenges into actionable strategies that support business growth.
  • Overseeing the internal controls framework for accounting policies, with a focus on SOX effectiveness and audit readiness.
  • Adaptability — you thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment where you learn new concepts quickly and help the team scale
  • Stock-based compensation
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting systems
  • Intellectual rigor — you dig deep into ambiguous situations, challenge assumptions thoughtfully, and arrive at well-reasoned conclusions
  • – Stock-based compensation (ASC 718)
  • US CPA (highly preferred)
  • Operational excellence — meticulous attention to detail, flawless organization, and an ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Ownership mentality — you see technical accounting as a strategic business function; you proactively identify improvements and drive them to completion
  • Big 4 audit/advisory experience (preferred) — or equivalent exposure to complex accounting matters
  • Strategic collaboration — you thrive partnering with cross-functional teams, translating between technical accounting and business strategy
  • – Revenue recognition (ASC 606)
  • Technology/SaaS industry background — preferred but not required; willingness to quickly master software/tech accounting nuances is essential
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience — a strong blend of technical accounting depth and operational know-how
  • Capital markets experience (IPOs, equity offerings, or SEC reporting) — preferred
  • Communication mastery — exceptional written and verbal skills; you can explain complex accounting concepts clearly to executives, board members, and junior team members alike
  • – Business combinations and goodwill accounting (ASC 805)
