Financial Controller

In this role, you will work closely with the CFO and the wider finance team to support control, compliance, and reporting across the group. • Versterken en verbeteren van interne controles om nauwkeurige, betrouwbare en controleerbare financiële gegevens te waarborgen.
• Ondersteunen van belastingnaleving (BTW, ICP, vennootschapsbelasting) en wettelijke indieningen in samenwerking met adviseurs.
• Eigen maken en verbeteren van debiteuren en omzetcontrole, inclusief reconciliaties, omzetverantwoording en factureringsnauwkeurigheid.
• 3–5 years of experience in financial control, accounting, or audit (Big 4 or industry)
• Proven ability to improve controls, processes, or reporting (e.g. automations, reconciliations, system improvements)
• You adapt quickly and stay effective in a fast-moving, scale-up environment
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (Dutch GAAP and/or IFRS)
• You communicate clearly with stakeholders across finance and the wider business
• You’re eager to learn, expand your scope, and grow with the company
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Hands-on experience with tax (VAT/ICP, CIT) and revenue/AR processes
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus
• Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite, Salesforce, or Stripe is a strong advantage
• You ask questions, challenge assumptions, and look for better ways of working
• You take ownership and follow through on what you commit to
• Comfortable working with data, systems, and digging into details to solve issues
