Senior Principal Insights Analyst (Central Product Insights)

Join Riot Games as a Senior Principal Insights Analyst, where you'll leverage your expertise in game analytics to help our games understand their products and players. You'll partner with leaders across the portfolio, conduct complex analyses, build and manage analytics tools, and mentor game analysts. This role requires strong communication skills, experience in game analytics, and a passion for gaming.

• Conduct complex analyses to understand the health of products, players, and game experiences, and build and manage analytics tools and dashboards.
• Lead the development of new, scaled analytics-based insights tools, dashboards, and datasets focusing on common game behaviors and play patterns.
• Mentor and develop game analysts, drive consistency and efficiency in key reports, and partner closely with Data Engineering to productionalize central analytics tables.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with senior stakeholders
• Able to work independently and lead complex projects which require coordinating multi-party worksteams
• 3+ years experience working directly in analytics on games
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Physics, Mathematics or a related discipline
• 10+ years of relevant analytics experience (an advanced degree can account for up to 2 years of experience)
• Meaningful familiarity with game design/direction and product strategy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with the strong ability to collaborate effectively at all levels and departments of the organization
• Strong analytical skills across the entire stack (Tableau, SQL, Python/Pyspark)
• Experience conducting analytics to answer product or portfolio strategy questions
• Experience synthesizing & socializing analytics results and distilling results into impactful recommendations for product/executive leadership
• Ability to own and drive workstreams collaboratively with cross functional partners across game design, engineering, data engineering, and product
• Experience working with competitive PvP titles
• Experience setting up automation for data pulls or pipelines
• Experience developing and deploying advanced statistical or machine learning models
• Advanced degree in Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Management Information Systems, a related discipline, or comparable work experiences
