Backend Engineer

Join Riot, a fast-growing startup on a mission to improve cybersecurity culture. As a Backend Engineer, you'll work on our flagship product, Awareness, which delivers engaging chat-based cybersecurity courses to employees. You'll be responsible for shipping new features, building robust systems, and organizing the backend codebase. You'll also have the opportunity to work with AI tooling and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

• Ship new Awareness features end-to-end, build robust systems that serve millions of learners and thousands of admin users reliably.
• Organize the backend code base and shape the standards the team follows, research, pitch, and prototype solutions to hard problems.
• Collaborate with a small, senior team of engineers to own features end-to-end and shape the product alongside PMs and designers.
