Manager of Customer Solutions Engineering

Join Fastly, a leading edge cloud platform, as the Manager of Customer Solutions Engineering. In this role, you will lead a team of Cloud Engineers, ensuring customer growth and retention through ongoing engagement and high-value deliverables. You will drive internal alignment for a high-quality customer experience, measure technical and performance results, assist with customer meetings and escalations, provide feedback and coaching to develop the team, and create operational plans to scale team impact. This position requires strong technical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for customer success.

• Lead and manage a team of Cloud Engineers to ensure customer growth and retention through ongoing engagement and high-value deliverables.
• Drive internal alignment to ensure a high-quality customer experience, measuring technical and performance results, and assisting with customer meetings and escalations.
• Develop strategic direction and execute on key objectives for Customer Solutions Engineering, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
• Capable and willing to travel for customer meetings as necessary
• 8 + years Pre-Sales or Post-Sales experience in Sales Engineering, Web Development, Customer facing DevOps Engineer, Technical Account Management, Solutions Architect
• Ability to embrace change while maintaining focus on results and customer experience
• Broad technical expertise including cloud and internet architecture, as well as scripting/software development experience
• Exceptional communication skills, detail-oriented, and self-motivated leader with strong analytical skills
• 2+ years of relevant experience leading people associated with technical management of client relationships
• Demonstrated experience and success in handling client relationships either on a primary or secondary basis
