About The Role

Join WEBTOON, a leading global platform for webcomics, as a Senior Associate in the Global Corporate Development team. In this critical role, you will work directly with top management to define, analyze, and execute M&A/investment opportunities and strategic partnerships. You will support the company's rapid global expansion and collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch and execute strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in investment banking, management consulting, or corporate development, and possess excellent analytical and communication skills.

  • Support and assist in the execution of the company’s strategic growth initiatives including partnership, M&As, and new business development.
  • Collaborate with leaders within the company to identify, define, and analyze strategic initiatives, reporting to a leader within the Corporate Development team.
  • Conduct in-depth research on markets, competitors, and potential partners; maintain a strong external perspective and form expert viewpoints on fast-evolving market trends.
  • Strong knowledge of the US content and media landscape
  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Adaptable and flexible in response to changing business needs and priorities
  • High standards; Results-oriented mindset; Bold and conviction-driven thinking
  • Willingness to be hands-on and deeply involved in execution details
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; capable of building complex financial models and executive-ready presentations to support decision-making
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience at a top-tier company in investment banking, management consulting, corporate development, strategic finance, or private equity
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to completion Attention to detail; Strong work ethic; Proactive and calm under pressure
  • Familiarity with financial modelling, corporate development, and the M&A lifecycle
  • Experience in project management, relationship management, and change management
  • Professional working fluency in spoken and written Korean or Japanese
  • MBA and/or international experience is a plus
