HR Business Partner

Join Blank Street as an HR Business Partner Senior Associate, where you'll play a crucial role in driving a high-performing, people-first culture during a period of growth. You'll partner closely with General Managers and Operations Managers to strengthen teams, elevate performance, and support the employee experience. This role requires a blend of strategic partnership and hands-on execution, making it ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and builds strong relationships quickly.

• Partner with field leaders on employee relations, performance management, coaching, engagement, and talent development while proactively identifying trends and opportunities across the business.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Operations leaders on hiring strategy, interview calibration, and workforce planning across your markets, ensuring new hires have a smooth onboarding experience.
• Drive execution of People programs including performance coaching frameworks, engagement action planning, and policy rollouts, while supporting internal promotions, succession planning, and leadership development.
• Working knowledge of labor laws and compliance requirements (I-9s, wage & hour, documentation standards)
• Comfortable using HR systems and tools (HRIS, ATS, Google Suite)
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment
• 4+ years of HR or People Ops experience, ideally in a fast-paced retail or hospitality environment
• Must be based in NYC with flexibility to travel throughout the market as needed
• Demonstrated ability to stay organized and detail-oriented across multiple workstreams
