Lead Counsel (Employment & Litigation)

Join Solace, a rapidly growing company operating across all 50 states. As the Lead Counsel for Employment & Litigation, you will provide practical employment advice, manage litigation matters, and build scalable employment policies. You will report to the Chief Legal Officer and work closely with functional leaders to ensure compliance and mitigate risks. This role requires 9-12+ years of employment and litigation experience, with in-house experience preferred.

• Provide pragmatic employment advice and manage litigation matters across the organization, directly overseeing the litigation docket.
• Design and deliver practical employment-law training for managers and people teams, and work with functional leaders to build and maintain employment policies and programs.
• Own Solace’s full range of issues, disputes, and litigation from end-to-end, including demand letters, subpoenas, agency requests, and everything that follows.
• Track record managing outside counsel and litigation budgets across a distributed, multi-state workforce
• Pragmatic instincts with the ability to weigh risk against velocity and land on real answers, not hedges
• Healthcare, marketplace, or other regulated-industry experience is a plus, not a requirement
• 9-12+ years of employment and litigation experience, with in-house experience being strongly preferred
• JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing
• Experience building policy from scratch rather than simply enforcing what already exists
