Engineering Manager (Platform)

Join Dealpath, a leading AI-powered real estate technology company, as an Engineering Manager. In this role, you will lead and mentor a team of talented software engineers, drive execution of high-impact product initiatives, and champion AI-forward engineering practices. You will also collaborate with architects and senior engineers to evolve platform architecture and technical strategy, and foster a culture of inclusion, transparency, and accountability within the team and across the company. This is a full-time position with a hybrid schedule based in San Francisco, CA.

• Lead, mentor, and coach a team of talented software engineers, fostering growth, collaboration, and technical excellence.
• Drive execution of high-impact product initiatives in close partnership with Product, Design, and Quality teams.
• Champion AI-forward engineering practices using AI tools consistently in your own work and coaching your team to do the same.
• Skilled in building SaaS products at scale, with a focus on quality, security, and performance
• Passionate about enabling engineers to do their best work through coaching, feedback, and career development, including practical mentorship on AI coding tools and when to apply them
• Technically strong in modern web application development (React, Node.js, Ruby, or similar)
• Fluent in AI-assisted development. You use tools like Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar regularly in your own work, apply a deliberate review process before relying on AI output, and are ready to help engineers on your team develop the same habits
• Bringing deep technical expertise with 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
• An excellent communicator, able to work cross-functionally with Product, Design, Customer Success, and Sales
• Experienced in leading and managing software engineering teams (3+ years in management or technical leadership)
• Excited to work in a fast-paced, growth-stage startup environment
• You have experience scaling teams in a startup or growth-stage environment
• 3+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, or equivalent leadership role
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance technical depth and business impact
• Track record of delivering enterprise SaaS products, ideally in B2B or FinTech/PropTech
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Consistent, hands-on experience with AI coding tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar). Uses AI regularly across engineering tasks, validates output before shipping, and can coach engineers to build the same disciplined habits
• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
