Account Manager (SMB)

Join Plaid, a leading financial technology company, as an Account Manager for small and medium-sized businesses (SMB). In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for your customers, managing all stages of integration, scaling, adoption, product expansion, and account management. You will work directly with key stakeholders, including developers and executives, to help them create applications that empower businesses and consumers with their financial data. You will also be responsible for owning revenue targets, identifying and closing new upsell opportunities, and leading commercial negotiations for contract renewals.

• Executive level communication skills - written and verbal
• Ability to work with all types of people and build long-lasting relationships
• Desire to get technical and the ability to learn the ins and outs of Plaid's APIs
• Retention and Termination-save tactics
• 2-4 years of demonstrated relationship management and sales experience
• Customer empathy and deep desire to see customers succeed
• Strong Sales experience (negotiation/value-selling)
• Excitement to work in a high-growth, ever-changing environment and to help build processes and tools as needed
• Relationship building (understand how to leverage internal/external executives, product, etc)
