Staff Software Engineer (Data Infrastructure)

Join Plaid as a Staff Software Engineer in Data Infrastructure. You will be responsible for scaling our data systems, maintaining data integrity, and providing tooling and guidance to teams across engineering, product, and business. You will lead key data infrastructure projects, collaborate with stakeholders, and mentor junior engineers. This role requires 6+ years of software engineering experience, proficiency in coding and system design, and experience with AWS EMR, Airflow, Databricks, and Python.

• Strong cross-functional collaboration, communication, and project management skills, with proven ability to coordinate effectively
• Proficiency in coding, testing, and system design, ensuring reliable and scalable solutions
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, including experience mentoring and guiding junior engineers
• 6+ years of software engineering experience
• Extensive hands-on software engineering experience, with a strong track record of delivering successful projects within the Data Infrastructure or Platform domain at similar or larger companies
• Experience with AWS EMR
• Experience with Airflow
• Experience with Databricks
• Experience with Python
