Engineering Manager (Snowtrail)

Join Snowflake as a Software Engineering Manager to lead the Snowtrail infrastructure team. Snowtrail is essential for ensuring the platform's reliability, correctness, and performance. You will collaborate across teams, build high-performing teams, and mentor junior engineers. • Lead the Snowtrail infrastructure team to enhance and optimize the platform's reliability, correctness, and performance.
• Oversee the development and implementation of innovative approaches to test and measure the impact of changes on individual customers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build high-performing teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Ability to collaborate well across teams, build high-performing teams and mentor junior engineers
• Ability to work on-site at our San Mateo, CA or Bellevue, WA offices
• Fluency in SQL, Java, C++, Python or Go
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent problem solving skills, and strong CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems
• 10+ years industry experience designing and building distributed data systems
• Strong passion and proven track record for shipping quality software in high code velocity environments
• Building at-scale telemetry pipeline or query replay pipeline
• Building or testing database query engine
• Operationalizing Machine Learning models
• Multi-tenant systems, with focus on reliability, performance, isolation, security and scalability
• Solid understanding of shipping end to end customer experiences across clients including browsers, apps and drivers
• A track record of leading distributed technical teams
