Lead Forward Deployed Engineer (Migration)

Join Snowflake as a Lead Migrations Forward Deployed Engineer (Migration FDE) and play a crucial role in modernizing customers' data and application ecosystems. You will partner closely with clients to design, build, and implement cutting-edge data solutions on the Snowflake AI Data Cloud. Your expertise will drive insights and power AI initiatives, enabling customers to harness the full potential of their data.

• Lead the scoping, architecture, and direction of modernization projects for customers' data and application ecosystems using the Snowflake AI Data Cloud.
• Collaborate closely with clients to understand their business challenges and design, build, and implement cutting-edge data solutions on Snowflake.
• Provide expert technical guidance, mentorship, and training to client teams on leveraging the Snowflake platform effectively, including data management, analytics, AI/ML capabilities, and reporting/BI integration.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python, Go, Java or C++
• Experience with developing AI/ML applications
• To accelerate successful outcomes and foster trust, the role may involve travel up to 20% of the time to collaborate with teams and stakeholders
• Big plus: prior experience delivering complex data-driven application migrations
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing & data lake concepts, and cloud data platforms
• Prior experience working with customers on complex, multi-faceted projects
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a client-facing environment
