Senior Manager of Product Data Science

Join Snowflake as a Senior Manager of Product Data Science, where you will lead the App Experience & Marketplace Data Science team. You will be responsible for driving AI-native deliverables, mentoring team members, and maximizing the impact of the team. This role requires 10+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, advanced knowledge of machine learning and Large Language Models, and 5+ years of experience in building and leading a high-performing data science team.

• Lead and manage a team of data scientists focused on app experience and data marketplace areas, ensuring high-quality deliverables and alignment with business goals.
• Serve as the tech lead and hands-on data scientist on projects, focusing on validating the accuracy and output quality of AI-powered analysis and developing proofs of concept for new AI-driven product features.
• Mentor team members in core data science disciplines and on the effective use of generative AI tools, establishing AI best practices and guardrails.
• Experience in using data science to optimize the user experience
• 10+ years experience as a Data Scientist
• Demonstrated experience with internal AI tools to build scalable data pipelines and drive analytical workflows
• Advanced knowledge/experience in machine learning and Large Language Models (LLMs), including the ability to critically evaluate and validate AI/ML outputs (e.g., using AI evaluation methods and understanding the limitations of AI Functions)
• 5+ years of experience in building, managing, and leading a high-performing data science team
• Ability to communicate and influence complex ideas to cross-functional stakeholders
• Expert in SQL and Python
• Masters or PhD in Math/Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Science or related quantitative field
