Senior Tax Manager

Join Snowflake, a high-growth technology company, as a Senior Tax Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for U.S. federal and state income tax compliance, coordinating with external service providers, monitoring legislative developments, and managing tax notices and audits. You will also support the global tax provision process and mentor a Senior Tax Analyst. • Own the end-to-end U.S. federal and state income tax return compliance process, including preparation, review, timely filing, extensions, and estimated tax calculations and payments.
• Coordinate and manage external service providers to ensure high-quality and efficient compliance deliverables, and develop and apply state income tax planning strategies to optimize effective tax rate.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments in U.S. federal and state tax law; proactively assess and communicate compliance impact to leadership.
• Experience with Big 4 firm and/or in-house corporate tax department with a minimum of 7 years of progressive supervisory experience
• Must be a self-starter who handles multiple projects and manages competing priorities with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated ability to develop a strong network of internal and external business partners
• Proven ability to adapt to a complex, fast-paced, rapidly evolving, and highly demanding work environment
• Experience with Workday ERP a plus
• Minimum of 13 years of in-depth experience with U.S. federal and multi-state corporate income tax compliance, including hands-on expertise with complex multistate issues, tax controversy management, and ASC 740 for large multinational public companies
• BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Tax, and/or Finance; CPA or Master’s in Taxation preferred
