Technical Lead Manager (Apps and Experiences Storage Team)

Join Snowflake, a high-growth AI data cloud company, as a Technical Lead Manager for the Apps and Experiences Storage Team. In this role, you will drive the technical strategy and execution of the storage team, provide deep technical oversight, mentor and coach engineers, define team plans and deliverables, and collaborate closely with the Product Management team. You will also lead the improvement of engineering processes, tooling, and standards, and partner effectively with other engineering and cross-functional teams.

• Own the storage team’s technical strategy and execution, driving projects from initial idea formulation and detailed system design to high-quality implementation and successful deployment.
• Provide deep technical oversight by actively participating in design reviews, architecture discussions, and drilling into complex system implementations to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Mentor and coach engineers on complex technical challenges and career development, and grow a strong, diverse team through proactive hiring.
• 9+ years of experience in designing and building large-scale systems in production
• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related majors, or equivalent experience
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Extensive and strong development experience in cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, is a plus
• Experience building and managing high throughput systems with Redis, Postgres, and blob stores (e.g. S3, Azure blob, and/or Google cloud storage)
• 2+ years of experience in managing and leading teams building lean mission-critical, highly concurrent, high-throughput, low-latency systems
• Strong hands-on skills. Can drill deep into the complex system design and implementation on a routine basis
