Engineering Manager (Bedrock)

In this role, you will drive the technical strategy and execution for the team, provide deep technical oversight, mentor and coach engineers, define team plans and deliverables, collaborate with the Product Management team, lead the improvement of engineering processes, and partner with other engineering and cross-functional teams. • Own the technical strategy and execution for the team, driving projects from initial idea formulation and detailed system design to high-quality implementation and successful deployment.
• Provide deep technical oversight by actively participating in design reviews, architecture discussions, and drilling into complex system implementations to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Mentor and coach engineers on complex technical challenges and career development, and grow a strong, diverse team through proactive hiring.
• Extensive and strong development experience in cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, is a plus
• 9+ years of experience in designing and building large-scale user-facing systems in production
• Strong hands-on skills. Can drill deep into the complex system design and implementation on a routine basis
• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related majors, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in managing and leading teams building lean mission-critical, highly concurrent, high-throughput, low-latency systems that power user interfaces
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
