Principal Product Manager (AI Creation & Growth)

Join Smartsheet as a Principal Product Manager, where you will drive AI-powered creation and product-led growth. You will set strategy, make high-impact investments, and own the AI creation product surface. You will also define and drive the activation strategy, improve AI output quality, and build the PLG feedback loop. This role requires deep collaboration across the organization and a focus on quality and craft.

• Data fluency: you're comfortable defining success metrics, designing experiments, and making judgment calls when the data is incomplete
• Enterprise product sensibility: you understand the unique constraints of building for enterprise buyers while optimizing for end-user delight
• Proven PLG instincts: you've owned activation, onboarding, or self-serve growth metrics and know how to move them
• Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and visual; you can sell a vision and sweat the details
• 8-10+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years owning AI/ML-powered product experiences
• A track record of shipping: you've taken complex, ambiguous AI or growth initiatives from 0 to 1 and scaled them
• Experience with content generation, document intelligence, or AI-assisted creation products
• Background in template ecosystems, marketplaces, or recommendation systems
• Familiarity with onboarding funnel analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel)
