Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Platform Team)

Join Taktile as a Senior Full-Stack Engineer on the Platform Team. In this role, you will design and build permission models and access controls from end-to-end, working with React/TypeScript for the front-end and Python (FastAPI) for the back-end. You will tackle complex enterprise authorization challenges, ensure multi-tenant isolation, and build audit and access-trail capabilities. This is a full-stack position that requires strong proficiency in both front-end and back-end development, as well as a genuine interest in security and access control.

• Design and build permission models and access controls end-to-end, from the React/TypeScript access-management and admin UIs down to the Python (FastAPI) authorization services.
• Take on the problems that make enterprise authorization genuinely hard: multi-tenant isolation, fine-grained permission checks in the hot path of millions of decisions a day, audit and access trails.
• Build and maintain security-critical systems with care: review pull requests with depth and invest in strong test automation.
• Backend development is a core requirement, and you'll own features end-to-end (front-end, backend, and operations over time)
• If you worked with Auth systems, Identity providers and complex authorization schemes we'd love to talk
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential as we operate in a remote environment requiring clear and effective communication. Strong English skills are also crucial to efficiently interacting with AI
• Experience integrating into AWS or similar cloud providers
• A genuine interest in security and access control, with exposure to authentication and authorization concepts (RBAC, SSO, OAuth/OIDC, multi-tenant permissions)
• Professional experience building backend services in Python (FastAPI or equivalent), including REST APIs and databases
• 5+ years of professional full-stack experience, including strong proficiency with React and TypeScript
• Strong engineering fundamentals with a passion for simplicity and precision
• Deeper backend specialization (async patterns, performance tuning, data modeling)
• DynamoDB or Postgres, SQLAlchemy
• Hands-on experience designing authorization systems at scale: fine-grained / ReBAC models, policy engines (OpenFGA or Zanzibar-style systems, OPA), or multi-tenant RBAC for enterprise SaaS
• Prior ops or on-call experience
