Accounting Manager

Join Kodiak, a rapidly growing company in the autonomous vehicle industry, as an Accounting Manager. In this critical role, you will strengthen our internal accounting capabilities, accelerate our month-end close, enhance reconciliation processes, and improve audit readiness. You will partner with the broader Finance team, manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, oversee balance sheet reconciliations, coordinate audit requests, and mentor a growing accounting team. • Partner with the broader Finance team to optimize close timelines and implement scalable processes.
• Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting under U.S. GAAP.
• Oversee and enhance balance sheet reconciliations using FloQast or similar tools, ensuring assigned accounts are fully reconciled, supported, and documented.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
• Experience supporting audits and coordinating PBC requests
• 6+ years of relevant accounting experience, including both public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and corporate experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and cross-functional collaboration experience
• Experience overseeing the accounting for manufacturing operations and cost accounting, including labor and materials tracking, inventory capitalization, and BOM accounting
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud strongly preferred, including system design or implementation involvement
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to drive deadlines in a high-growth environment
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and experience managing a variety of general ledger areas
• Familiarity with the transportation, automotive, robotics, or hardware sectors
• Experience using FloQast, Blackline, or similar accounting close software
