About The Role

Join Kodiak, a leader in autonomous trucking, as a Staff Product Manager. In this role, you will define and drive the strategic direction of our Level 4 autonomous trucking platform, focusing on the hardware stack and customer deployment landscape. You will have high autonomy and accountability, influencing decisions across engineering, commercialization, operations, and external partners. Your responsibilities will include setting the long-term product vision, driving architecture-level decisions, elevating cross-functional execution, defining the product lifecycle, influencing at the executive level, and growing the craft of product management. This position offers a remote-friendly work environment, generous benefits, and opportunities for travel.

  • Set the long-term product vision for the Kodiak Driver hardware ecosystem, translating market signals and customer insights into a coherent multi-year roadmap.
  • Lead requirements development across the full hardware stack, making principled trade-offs that balance capability, cost, and deployment readiness.
  • Own the full product lifecycle end-to-end, from requirements through deployment and iteration, and build feedback loops between field operations and engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to own product strategy at the platform level, not just feature execution
  • A history of driving alignment across large, matrixed organizations — you influence without authority and build coalitions naturally
  • Deep technical fluency: you can engage credibly with sensor engineers, system architects, and firmware teams, and you know when to push back and when to defer
  • Exceptional communication skills; you can distill complexity into crisp narratives for technical and executive audiences alike
  • 12+ years in product management, with a substantial track record in hardware-intensive domains — autonomous vehicles, robotics, advanced manufacturing, or logistics systems
  • MS or PhD in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field
  • Sharp judgment under ambiguity: you make good calls with incomplete information and can articulate the reasoning clearly
