Analytics Analyst (Fraud)

About The Role
Join Enova's Fraud Analytics team as an Analytics Analyst. In this role, you will be the quantitative engine of our fraud prevention efforts, developing and testing models to surface emerging fraud trends. You will work closely with our Fraud Operations team and conduct ad hoc analysis on large datasets. This hybrid position offers a range of benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) matching program.
- Develop, enhance, and test models and pattern-recognition pipelines to detect emerging fraud trends.
- Write customized programs in Python for meaningful data analysis and predictive modeling, and query large datasets in SQL.
- Partner closely with Fraud Operations to refine features and reduce false positives/negatives based on investigation results.
- Comfort using AI tools to improve your workflow and delivery
- Foundational knowledge of statistical methods and machine learning
- Working knowledge of relational databases (SQL)
- Prior experience is not required; fraud, fintech, or lending exposure is a plus, interest in them is a must
- A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or similar) or equivalent experience
- Solid programming skills for data analysis — demonstrated through work, internships, coursework, or personal projects
- Strong problem-solving instincts and a naturally inquisitive, dig-deeper mindset
