Software Engineer (Renters Experience)

Join our fast-growing company as a Software Engineer focused on enhancing the renter experience. In this fully remote role, you will own a segment of the renter onboarding process, collaborating with various teams to ensure a smooth and efficient experience for our customers. You will be responsible for developing new app/service features, maintaining codebases, and identifying opportunities for improvement. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in front-end and back-end web development, a strong understanding of REST API concepts, and a passion for user experience.

• Understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms, and experience creating and evaluating technical design documents
• Strong understanding of REST API concepts and designs
• Experience with large, interdependent codebases while maintaining business continuity
• 5+ years of relevant production work experience in front-end web development, preferably using React
• Bachelor’s degree / Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of relevant production work experience in back-end web development, preferably using Go and/or Typescript
• Demonstrated ability to manage engineering tasks, partner with product and design, and deliver high-quality work in a dynamic business environment
• Experience using Material UI’s component library
• Experience working in a fast-paced and cross functional environment
• Experience using GraphQL
• Familiarity with modern web infrastructure components (e.g. caching, serverless, API gateways, etc) and how to manage them
