About The Role

Join Zaizi, a leading digital transformation agency, as a Lead UX/UI Designer. In this role, you will work in a delivery-focused, agile environment with government clients. You will be responsible for translating user needs and business requirements into clear, usable designs, guiding the creation of prototypes and user-centered design artifacts. You will also support and mentor other User Experience Designers, contribute to their growth, and ensure high standards across the team's work. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Solution Architects, Developers, Testers, and other Designers to ensure design outputs are clearly communicated and effectively shape ongoing development.

  • Lead user-centered design efforts in a multidisciplinary team, collaborating closely with Product Managers, Solution Architects, Developers, Testers, and other Designers.
  • Translate user needs and business requirements into clear, usable designs, guiding the creation of prototypes and user-centered design artifacts.
  • Support and mentor other User Experience Designers, contributing to their growth while ensuring high standards across the team’s work.
  • Communicate and evangelise user needs to the team and wider stakeholders
  • Able to elicit requirements from ambiguous user needs
  • Expert knowledge and experience of user interfaces such as Figma
  • Be the go to person in this area of expertise
  • Work with team members to design and conduct workshops
  • Provide guidance and best practice on accessible design
  • Create prototypes to feed into development
  • Building relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Work with team members (Developers in particular) to bring designs to life in production
  • Able to break down designs and communicate them to developers and testers
  • The ability to plan user-centred design activities and define protocols
  • Setting design objectives and choosing appropriate tools and techniques
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of prototyping and interaction design
  • Experience with a range of user-centred design and service design techniques and practices
  • Theming and synthesis outputs from raw research to produce strategic insights
  • Being able to work in an agile and flexible way across a number of agile projects
  • Communicating information to stakeholders and your team
