• Cross-Functional Influence: Demonstrated ability to drive large, cross-functional technical projects that impact security posture across the entire organization
• Systems Architecture: Experience designing for high availability and scale. You understand how to handle "bursty" security log traffic and build resilient, distributed systems. Experience building and maintaining data pipelines is a plus
• Pragmatic Execution: You have a bias for action and a knack for navigating ambiguity. You understand how to weigh security risks against business velocity, choosing paved road solutions that empower your internal partners and developers
• Engineering Maturity: 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years of infrastructure-as-code experience in a cloud-first organization. You bring the seasoned perspective required to establish infrastructure standards for a founding team
• The "Platform First" Mindset: You are a software or systems engineer who has spent years building in cloud-native environments (GCP or AWS). You view security as a platform service, not a gate, and have a track record of building tools that people actually enjoy using
• Software Engineering: Expert proficiency in at least one modern general-purpose language (Python is a plus). You write clean, testable, and maintainable code
• You are excited to be a founding member of a security team, setting the technical bar from day one and building paved road solutions that empower your internal security partners and developers
• You thrive in ambiguity and are excited about a greenfield environment
• You enjoy moving between high-level architectural design and deep-dive coding/debugging
• You treat infrastructure as code and data as a first-class citizen
• You believe that detection and governance are only as good as the infrastructure supporting them
