Senior Software Engineer (Chainlink Runtime)

Join Chainlink, a leading provider of decentralized oracle networks. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in advancing the reliability, scalability, and operational excellence of the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE) platform. You will design and build distributed systems, improve workflow execution durability, and partner with engineering teams across the organization. The ideal candidate has strong systems thinking, experience building production APIs and backend applications, and a strong interest in blockchain infrastructure and Web3 technologies.

• Design and build distributed systems that enable resilient workflow execution while supporting the continued growth of Chainlink's flagship products.
• Lead the development of production-grade backend services and APIs that support multiple internal stakeholders and platform consumers.
• Drive architectural improvements that enable both vertical and horizontal platform scaling, and improve workflow execution durability and platform resilience.
• Strong systems thinking with the ability to evaluate architectural trade-offs and solve complex technical problems
• Experience building production APIs and backend applications serving multiple stakeholders
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills within cross-functional engineering environments
• Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale production platforms
• Self-driven approach with a high degree of ownership, technical curiosity, and continuous learning
• Advanced proficiency developing production systems in Go (Golang)
• Demonstrated ability to deliver reliable, high-quality software through rigorous engineering practices
• Strong experience designing and operating distributed systems
• Experience defining, measuring, and improving service reliability through SLOs and SLIs
• Experience developing software using TypeScript, Solidity, or additional backend technologies
• Strong interest in blockchain infrastructure and Web3 technologies
• Experience developing financial infrastructure, banking systems, or other mission-critical distributed platforms
• Experience building decentralized applications (dApps)
