Staff Accountant

Join Ghost's Finance & Accounting team as a Staff Accountant. In this hands-on role, you will manage core day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable and payable, bank reconciliations, month-end close deliverables, and inventory accounting support. You will work directly with the Director of Accounting and have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility across the full accounting function in a venture-backed company.

• Hands-on experience with NetSuite as a primary accounting system
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills; comfortable working with large transaction datasets
• Experience owning AR/AP processes or a set of close deliverables independently
• Exceptional attention to detail and organization; able to manage competing deadlines during close
• AI-native: comfortable using AI tools daily to accelerate reconciliations, analysis, and documentation, and actively looks to automate manual work
• Proactive and self-directed; take end-to-end ownership of assigned areas and escalate with proposed solutions, not just problems
• 2+ years of accounting experience with hands-on month-end close exposure: journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA in progress or completed
• Inventory, e-commerce, or marketplace accounting experience, including item-level or high-SKU environments
• Experience with Rillet or other modern, AI-native accounting platforms
• Public accounting foundation or experience in a high-growth startup environment
• Exposure to an external financial audit as a preparer of workpapers or schedules
