Digital Systems Engineer

Join Formlabs as a Digital Systems Engineer, where you will design, build, and maintain custom software across our digital and business-systems landscape. You will work with TypeScript and Python, and grow into back-end Shopify development. This is a hands-on role for a versatile full-stack engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Concevoir, construire et maintenir des logiciels personnalisés dans le paysage numérique et des systèmes d'entreprise de Formlabs.
• Développer et expédier des fonctionnalités, des applications, des services et des intégrations en TypeScript et Python, et évoluer vers le développement back-end de Shopify.
• Collaborer avec les équipes Salesforce, Data Platform et Infrastructure pour livrer des fonctionnalités et des intégrations qui permettent l'automatisation des ventes, des services et du marketing.
• TypeScript and Python: Strong, hands-on proficiency in both — this is a core requirement of the role, not a nice-to-have
• Data savviness: Ability to write SQL queries from scratch, and a working knowledge of data warehouse concepts and tools (i.e. BigQuery, etc.)
• Modern tooling: Fluency with Git/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized development and deployment
• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, and the ability to learn and implement new technologies quickly
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
• Full-stack experience: 4+ years of professional software engineering experience building web applications, platforms, services, or integrations for a business
• A fast learner: A track record of picking up new platforms and technologies quickly — you will be expected to become our back-end Shopify expert on the job
• Enterprise & business systems: Experience building for or integrating enterprise or business-critical systems (eCommerce, CRM, ERP, or similar), and comfort working with REST/GraphQL APIs, webhooks, and middleware
• Familiarity with various ERP, CRM, Marketing Automation, Data Analytics, and Business Intelligence systems and tools
• Ability to effectively leverage AI coding tools
• Experience with iPaaS middleware or cloud-based integration functions (AWS Lambda / GCP Cloud Functions / Cloud Run)
• Experience with the Salesforce ecosystem (Apex, Flow, APIs) or NetSuite
• Any Shopify development experience (Shopify Apps, Functions & Extensions, Admin/Storefront APIs, Carrier Service API, or headless commerce) — a plus, but not required
• Experience with Rust and Shopify development
• Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration
