About The Role

Join Formlabs, a leading 3D printing company, as an Embedded Software Engineer. In this role, you will design and implement firmware, collaborate with various stakeholders, and work in a product-focused, agile environment. You should have a strong technical background, familiarity with debugging complex hardware and software interactions, and experience writing code for hardware products.

Design, build, test, and ship development tools and prototype code for R&D engineers.
Collaborate with different stakeholders to ensure the development of the right features for customers.
Ensure code re-use with a strong focus on maintainability, testing, and continuous integration.
We are looking for a Embedded Software Engineer for our Embedded team with a user focused mindset and strong technical background
Have familiarity and comfort debugging complex hardware and software interactions
Program with modern languages used for embedded software stacks, ideally in C, C++, and/or Python
Architect code that your fellow software engineers are excited to use and re-use
Easily implement common embedded software architecture patterns for things like filtering, control loops, and remote procedure calls
Distill complex things simply when communicating with non-software stakeholders
Have professional experience writing code that lives on hardware products in the consumer, medical, defense, or industrial space for somewhere between 5 and 100 years of your life
