SEC Reporting Manager

About The Role
Join our team as the SEC Reporting Manager, where you will play a critical role in the preparation, accuracy, and timely filing of all financial statements and disclosures. You will work closely with key members of the Finance team and have broad exposure to global accounting operations, technical accounting matters, internal controls, and financial reporting. This high-visibility role offers deep exposure to complex transaction accounting and the evolution of our financial operations.
- Manage external financial reporting activities, including the preparation, coordination, drafting, and review of quarterly and annual financial statements, footnote disclosures, Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD&A), earnings releases, and other SEC filings.
- Lead accounting policy development and compliance, including the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.
- Perform technical accounting research and analysis related to complex transactions, accounting policy interpretations, and the adoption of new accounting standards and pronouncements.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. NetSuite), Microsoft Excel, and Google Suite
- 4+ years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 2 years focused specifically on SEC reporting (directly within a public company)
- Working knowledge of complex technical accounting areas; equity, inventory, and taxes
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Deep familiarity with US GAAP, SEC regulations (S-X and S-K), and the EDGAR filing process
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Hands-on experience with specialized financial reporting software (e.g., Workiva (Wdesk), DFIN ActiveDisclosure) is highly preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls over financial reporting
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
- Big Four public accounting experience
- Exposure to Tax Compliance
- Experience in a high-growth or scaling company environment
- Experience with XBRL/iXBRL tagging
