Senior Mechanical Engineer

You will be responsible for architecting, prototyping, building, and designing the hardware systems of our next-generation 3D printers. You will lead the design process, create innovative solutions to challenging problems, and engineer the most amazing 3D printers on the market. If you have 5+ years of industry experience, a strong portfolio of previous work, and a passion for building precision tools, we want you on our team.

• Architect, prototype, build, and design hardware systems for next-generation 3D printers.
• Lead the design and create tools for 3D printing, pushing the capabilities of the technology.
• Act as a technical leader, guiding junior colleagues' work and collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Are hands on and can work across disciplines to prototype your own designs and solve problems
• 5+ years industry experience
• Have experience with the full product development cycle
• Can communicate effectively with vendors and suppliers across the globe
• Enjoy the gritty details of part design, material selection and manufacturing techniques
• Craft elegant systems that function with efficiency and simplicity
• Want to build a precision tool that is beautiful inside and out
• Are familiar with a variety of manufacturing methods for creating high-volume and high performance products
• Familiar with thermal systems, optical systems, sensor design, controllers, structures and algorithms
• Can share a strong portfolio of previous work with a background in electro-mechanical systems
• Familiar with polymers and polymer chemistry
• Electronics and circuit design
• PLM/document control systems
• Industrial design
• Programming skills (Python)
