Staff Embedded Software Engineer

Join our team as a Staff Embedded Software Engineer, where you will lead the design, development, and validation of firmware for our vehicle drive and safety controllers. This technical leadership role requires a strong systems mindset, deep understanding of embedded software best practices, and the ability to mentor others. You will work closely with electrical engineers, controls engineers, and the broader software team to deliver robust, production-quality firmware.

• Conduire la conception, le développement et la validation de tous les firmwares fonctionnant sur les contrôleurs de conduite et de sécurité des véhicules.
• Agir en tant qu'ingénieur responsable de la conception pour un programme de véhicule, y compris les contrôleurs pour : le contrôle de traction, le contrôle des actionneurs, le contrôle des E/S, le contrôle des capteurs et le firmware de sécurité fonctionnelle.
• Définir la direction technique pour l'architecture du logiciel embarqué, les normes de codage et les interfaces système.
• Experience with safety-critical software development standards (e.g., MISRA C, ISO 26262)
• Experience with RTOS systems for safety critical applications
• 8–12+ years of experience developing embedded software in a product-focused environment
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and work across hardware/software boundaries
• Familiarity with CI/CD for embedded systems (Github Actions)
• Deep expertise with microcontrollers (ARM Cortex-M preferred), low-level drivers, and real-time control systems
• Strong architecture and system-level thinking — ability to design firmware systems that scale and integrate well
• Excellent communication skills and a track record of mentoring and technical leadership
• Strong experience with debugging tools (JTAG, ETM, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes)
